Move with confidence

Verification on LoadBid is optional. Carriers can browse loads and quote on ordinary freight without it, and those who choose to verify can supply:

• Australian Business Number (ABN) validation against the ABR
• Identity and business contact details
• Vehicle types, body configurations and service areas
• Public liability and goods-in-transit insurance evidence
• Relevant heavy-vehicle or industry accreditations, if applicable
• Supporting documents such as licences and certificates

Documents and expiry dates are tracked. Carriers are prompted to renew before expiry and lose the ability to quote if key documents lapse.

Verification is a checkpoint, not a guarantee. Even a verified carrier can make mistakes, miss a pickup, or damage an item. LoadBid does not:

• Guarantee any particular carrier, quote, timeframe or outcome
• Underwrite the carrier's insurance or replace an insurer
• Physically inspect vehicles, depots or equipment
• Warrant that every claim a carrier makes about themselves is accurate

Always read a carrier's profile, reviews and messages carefully before accepting a quote. Ask questions on-platform if anything is unclear.

• Describe your load honestly — dimensions, weight and access conditions.
• Declare regulated, hazardous or perishable goods before accepting a quote.
• Have someone available at pickup and delivery, or arrange safe access.
• Only pay through LoadBid — never send bank transfers or cash off-platform.
• Keep messages and photos on-platform for a complete record.
• Raise issues through the dispute flow rather than confronting a carrier in person.

• Keep your verification, insurance and vehicle details current.
• Only quote on jobs you have the capacity and equipment to complete safely.
• Confirm access and restraints before pickup; refuse unsafe loads.
• Communicate delays, damage or route changes as soon as they happen.
• Follow Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle National Law and state road rules.
• Provide proof of delivery — photos and notes — through the job workspace.

LoadBid is a free listing and messaging marketplace. Everything about how a job is completed — including any exchange between customer and carrier — is arranged directly between the two parties. LoadBid is not a party to your agreement and does not process, hold, or refund anything.

Keep all discussion on the job so both sides have a clear record. Ask the carrier for a tax invoice if you need one.

On-platform messaging keeps a full record of what was agreed — helpful evidence if a dispute is raised. Avoid moving conversations to personal email, SMS or messaging apps before a booking is confirmed.

LoadBid staff will never ask for your password, one-time codes or full card details.

• Meet in a well-lit, accessible location where possible.
• Have another person present or a phone call open at first meet.
• Photograph the load before and after transit; note any pre-existing damage.
• Confirm identity, vehicle registration and paperwork before handing anything over.
• Restrain loads properly; refuse jobs where restraints or ramps are inadequate.

Common red flags include:

• Pressure to move discussion off LoadBid before you've built any trust.
• A price that is dramatically below every other quote with no explanation.
• Requests for personal ID scans, banking passwords or one-time codes.
• Links to look-alike domains that are not loadbid.com.au.
• New accounts asking to move high-value or specialty items on short notice.

If something feels off, stop and report it. It is always safe to walk away from a booking before you accept.

Regulated goods — including dangerous goods (DG), oversize loads, refrigerated cargo, livestock, firearms and prescription medicines — have specific carrier, packaging and documentation requirements under Australian law.

You must declare regulated goods when posting a load. Carriers must only accept regulated loads they are licensed, insured and equipped to move.

Do not post or accept jobs for:

• Illegal drugs, controlled substances or drug paraphernalia
• Stolen goods or items you do not have the right to move
• Human remains, live people, or trafficked wildlife
• Unregistered firearms, explosives or ammunition
• Counterfeit currency or fraudulent documents
• Any item prohibited by Australian federal, state or territory law

Carriers hold their own public liability and, where applicable, goods-in-transit insurance. Cover limits, exclusions and deductibles differ by policy. LoadBid is not an insurer and does not replace a carrier's or customer's own insurance.

For high-value or specialty items, confirm the carrier's cover in writing on-platform before accepting a quote, and consider your own transit insurance.

Report suspicious accounts, listings or messages using the report link on the relevant page, or by emailing support@loadbid.com.au. Include the URL and any screenshots.

Serious matters — theft, threats or fraud — should be reported to Australian police in addition to LoadBid.

If a job goes wrong, open a dispute from the job page. LoadBid provides messaging and evidence tools so both sides can present their side of the story.
