About LoadBid
Australia's freight marketplace explained.
LoadBid is Australia's freight marketplace. Customers post a load, verified Australian carriers submit offers, and you choose the carrier that best suits your job. Payments are handled through Stripe. LoadBid itself is not a transport company — we're the platform that connects you with independent carriers.
Customers describe their load using our Post a Load wizard. Carriers browse available loads and submit competitive offers. When you accept an offer, the booking is confirmed and you can message the carrier through LoadBid. See a full walkthrough on our How LoadBid Works page.
No. LoadBid is a marketplace platform. All transport work is performed by independent Australian carriers who use the platform to find loads. LoadBid does not own vehicles or move goods.
LoadBid operates as an online marketplace rather than a traditional freight broker. We connect customers and carriers directly and provide the tools for offers, messaging and payment. Contractual arrangements for each job are between the customer and the carrier.
Anyone in Australia can sign up. Customers can be individuals or businesses moving anything from a single item to a full truckload. Carriers must be legitimate operators willing to complete our onboarding and verification process.
Almost anything legal and safe to transport — vehicles, motorcycles, caravans, boats, machinery, furniture, pallets and general freight. Prohibited or restricted goods (for example dangerous goods without proper handling) should not be posted. If you're unsure, contact LoadBid Support.
Yes. Loads can be posted for pickup and delivery anywhere in Australia — ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC and WA. Availability depends on carriers servicing your route.
No. You choose. Carriers submit offers, and you decide which offer to accept based on price, timing, vehicle, ratings and any messages exchanged.
A traditional freight company sets a fixed rate and moves your load with their own fleet. LoadBid opens your job to multiple independent carriers who compete, so you can compare pricing, timing and service, then book directly.
Accounts and Sign-In
Head to Sign in / Sign up and register with your email and a password, or continue with Google or Apple. You'll be asked to confirm your email before you can post a load or submit offers.
You can view our public Browse Loads page without signing in. To see full details and to submit an offer you'll need a carrier account.
Yes. Posting a load requires an account so we can send you carrier offers, messages and booking updates.
Yes. You can post loads as a customer and also complete carrier onboarding to submit offers. Both roles operate from the same account and can be managed from your Dashboard.
Sign in and open your Profile page. From there you can update your name, contact details and other account information.
Use the account and security options on your Profile page. If you signed in with Google or Apple, manage sign-in through that provider.
First check you're using the same sign-in method you registered with (email/password, Google or Apple). If your password isn't working, use the reset link on the sign-in page. If you still can't get in, contact LoadBid Support.
On the Sign in page choose the password reset option. We'll email a secure link to the address on your account. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder before contacting support.
Email us from your registered address via LoadBid Support and we'll close your account. Some records may be retained where required by law — for example tax records and dispute history.
Posting a Load
Sign in, tap Post a Load and step through the guided wizard. You'll describe the item, pickup and delivery locations, timing and any special handling. You can save a draft at any step and finish later.
Include an honest description of the item, approximate dimensions and weight, pickup and delivery suburbs, preferred dates and access details (stairs, tight driveways, forklifts). Better information leads to more accurate offers.
Yes. Posting a load on LoadBid is free and no card details are required to publish a listing or receive offers.
Yes. Adding clear photos of your item helps carriers price accurately and reduces surprises at pickup. You can upload photos during the Post a Load wizard.
You can update details of a load from your Dashboard while it's still open. Significant changes after offers have been submitted may prompt carriers to revise their offers.
Yes, before an offer is accepted. Once an offer is accepted, contact the carrier through Messages to agree any changes. Significant changes may not be possible without rebooking.
Your load appears on the public Browse Loads page (with your personal details hidden). Carriers who service your route can submit offers. You'll be notified in-app when new offers arrive.
A load stays open until you accept an offer, cancel the listing, or the pickup date passes. If your listing expires without a booking, you can repost it from your Dashboard.
Yes. You can cancel or close a load at any time before you accept an offer, at no cost.
Yes. Open the load from your Dashboard and use it as a starting point for a fresh listing. Update dates and details before publishing.
Anyone can view the public listing on Browse Loads, but personal details like your full address, phone number and surname are only shared with the carrier you book. Public listings show suburb and state only.
No. Keep personal contact details out of the public description. Use LoadBid Messages to speak with carriers before you book — this keeps you protected and helps our support team assist if something goes wrong.
Anything illegal or unsafe to transport without appropriate licensing — including dangerous goods, hazardous materials, live animals in unsuitable conditions and stolen or prohibited items. See our Terms of Service or contact Support if you're unsure.
Offers and Bookings
An offer is a carrier's proposal to complete your load — the price, planned dates and any notes they include. You can compare offers side-by-side and message the carrier before accepting.
Verified carriers open a load on Browse Loads, review the details, and submit an offer with their price and timing.
Yes. Multiple carriers can submit offers on the same load. You choose which one to accept.
Open your load from your Dashboard. Each offer shows the price, the carrier's profile and any message they included. You can open the carrier profile for verification status and reviews before you decide.
Yes. Use LoadBid Messages to ask about vehicle type, timing, insurance or handling. Keep the conversation on-platform so we can help if any issues arise.
Open the offer from your load in the Dashboard and choose Accept. You'll be taken through secure payment, and once payment succeeds the booking is confirmed.
Once you accept an offer, the load is no longer open. Other offers are automatically closed and those carriers are notified that the load has been booked.
Yes. Carriers can withdraw an offer before it is accepted. Once accepted, changes need to be agreed with the customer.
You don't need to formally reject an offer. Simply accept the one you prefer, or let the load close. You can also message a carrier to let them know if you'd like to be respectful.
Not directly. If circumstances change, talk to the carrier through Messages to agree next steps. Larger changes may require cancelling the current booking and posting a new load.
The booking is confirmed, full contact details are shared between you and the carrier, and you can track the job through your My Jobs page. Message the carrier to finalise pickup arrangements.
No. Nothing is booked until you actively accept an offer. Price is one factor — timing, vehicle, reviews and communication all matter.
Factor in distance, fuel, tolls, loading time, dead running, insurance and margin — and read the load details carefully. Ask questions in Messages if anything is unclear before you offer.
Customers
Look at the carrier's verification status, reviews, vehicle type and any notes in their offer. Message them with any questions. The cheapest offer isn't always the best fit — timing and communication matter.
Confirm the carrier's vehicle can handle your load, that the pickup and delivery dates work, and that any special access needs (stairs, forklifts, hoist points) are understood. Ask the carrier about their insurance if that matters to you.
Yes. Every offer links to the carrier's profile, showing their verification status and any reviews from previous LoadBid jobs.
Use LoadBid Messages. Keeping the conversation on-platform protects you and lets our support team help if something goes wrong.
Confirm timing with the carrier the day before, make sure the item is ready and accessible, and have any paperwork or keys prepared. Take photos of the item's condition before it's loaded.
The customer is generally responsible for having the item ready — packed, dismantled if needed, and accessible for the carrier to load. Talk to your carrier if you need assistance with loading.
The carrier may need to reschedule, and additional charges could apply — this is between you and the carrier. Communicate through Messages as early as possible if there's a delay.
Yes. You can nominate someone else to be present, but make sure the carrier is told their name and contact details in advance through Messages.
Inspect the item on arrival, note any issues immediately, and confirm delivery through your My Jobs page. If something isn't right, raise it straight away — don't wait.
Yes. After a completed job you can leave a review of the carrier. Reviews help future customers make informed decisions.
Carriers
Head to Become a Carrier, create an account, and complete the guided carrier onboarding. Once you've submitted the required information and been reviewed, you'll be able to submit offers.
Onboarding covers your business details, ABN, insurance information, vehicles you operate, service areas and supporting documents. Full requirements are shown inside the onboarding wizard.
You'll be asked for your ABN during onboarding so we can confirm you're operating as a legitimate Australian business. If you're unsure whether your setup meets Australian requirements, seek independent advice.
During onboarding you can upload your insurance documents. It's your responsibility to hold and maintain the insurance appropriate for the work you accept. If you're unsure what's suitable for your operation, seek independent advice.
You submit your details and documents through onboarding, and the LoadBid team reviews them. Once approved, your profile displays as a Verified Australian Carrier and you can begin submitting offers.
Open Browse Loads to see open listings. You can filter by state, region, radius, date and vehicle type to focus on jobs that suit you.
Open a load from Browse Loads, review the details, and enter your price with any notes for the customer. Your offer will appear in the customer's dashboard.
You can withdraw an offer before it's accepted. To change an offer, withdraw it and submit a new one. Once accepted, changes need to be agreed with the customer.
You'll get an in-app notification and email as soon as your offer is accepted. The booking will appear in your My Jobs list with the customer's full contact details.
You can ask questions through LoadBid Messages. Keep discussions on-platform — it protects both parties and lets support step in if issues arise.
Update your service areas and preferences from your Carrier hub. Keeping these current helps you see the loads that suit your operation.
Inside your Carrier hub you'll find a Stripe payouts step. This launches Stripe Connect onboarding where you provide your business and payout details securely with Stripe.
Once your carrier onboarding has been reviewed and your Stripe payout account is connected, you can submit offers and take on booked work.
Yes. LoadBid may suspend a carrier account where our Terms of Service or safety expectations are not met — for example unresolved disputes, false information or unsafe conduct.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you accept a carrier's offer, you pay the full amount by card. LoadBid uses Stripe Connect so the carrier's share is paid out to their connected Stripe account.
Stripe is a global payments provider that handles card processing, PCI-compliant storage of card details and payouts to carriers. Using Stripe means LoadBid never touches your full card number.
Yes. Carriers connect a Stripe account via Stripe Connect during onboarding. This is what allows Stripe to pay carriers directly for jobs booked on LoadBid.
From your Carrier hub start the Stripe payouts step. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe-hosted form to enter your business, bank and identity details.
No. Card details are entered into Stripe's secure payment form and handled by Stripe. LoadBid does not store your full card number or CVV.
You're charged when you accept a carrier's offer through the secure Stripe checkout. If payment fails, the booking is not confirmed.
The carrier's share is transferred to their connected Stripe account after delivery has been confirmed and once the release window has elapsed with no dispute recorded. From there, Stripe processes the payout to the carrier's bank account on their normal Stripe payout schedule.
Customer payment is captured when the offer is accepted, and the carrier's transfer is triggered after delivery is confirmed and the release window closes without a dispute. LoadBid does not describe this as escrow or a protected payment scheme — it is a scheduled Stripe Connect transfer.
Yes. LoadBid charges a platform fee on each booking. The exact fee applied to your job is shown in the offer breakdown at the time you accept, so there are no surprises at checkout.
The fee breakdown shown at checkout reflects the amounts you'll be charged. For questions about GST treatment of a specific booking or invoice, contact LoadBid Support.
You'll receive a Stripe payment receipt by email after a successful payment. If you need a specific document for your accounting, contact us via LoadBid Support.
If your card is declined, the booking isn't confirmed and the offer remains open. Try again with a different card or contact your bank. If the issue persists, contact LoadBid Support.
No. All payments for LoadBid bookings must go through the platform. Paying carriers outside LoadBid removes the protections that come with an on-platform booking and is against our Terms of Service.
If a booking is cancelled or a dispute is upheld, refunds may be issued through Stripe back to the original card. The specific outcome depends on the situation and the status of the job. Reach out through LoadBid Support if a refund is needed.
Payout details are managed inside your Stripe account, which you can access from your Carrier hub. Keeping your Stripe details current ensures payouts arrive without delay.
Carrier Verification
It means the carrier has completed LoadBid's onboarding and supplied the information we ask for — including business and identity details. Verification is a baseline check and does not guarantee the outcome of any particular job.
Carriers submit their business, insurance and identity information during onboarding. Our team reviews the submission before granting the verified status.
Onboarding may ask for your ABN, insurance documentation, vehicle details and identity documents. The full list of items requested is shown inside the carrier onboarding wizard.
Timing varies based on volume and how complete your submission is. Providing clear, current documents helps us review as quickly as possible. If you haven't heard back in a reasonable time, contact Support.
Keep documents such as insurance current. If a document expires, update it in your Carrier hub. LoadBid may pause your ability to accept new work until the update is provided.
Carrier accounts must complete onboarding before they can operate normally on the platform. Verification status is displayed on the carrier's profile.
No. Verification is a due-diligence check on the information provided at onboarding. It does not guarantee outcomes, insurance coverage or performance on any specific booking.
If you believe a carrier's profile contains inaccurate information, let us know through LoadBid Support with as much detail as possible.
Messaging and Notifications
Once a carrier has engaged with your load — for example by submitting an offer — you can exchange messages through LoadBid Messages. All messages stay linked to the load.
Messaging becomes available once an offer has been placed on a load. This keeps conversations tied to a real inquiry and helps our support team assist if issues arise.
You'll see an in-app notification (bell icon), the count on your header, and an email if email notifications are enabled for your account.
Carriers can check Browse Loads at any time. New loads that match your service areas and preferences may also appear in your carrier notifications.
You can manage notification settings from your Notifications page while signed in.
Check your spam or junk folder, confirm your email address on your Profile, and add support@loadbid.com.au to your contacts. If emails are still missing, contact Support.
Use the report option on the message thread, or contact us through LoadBid Support. Include screenshots or the load reference to help us investigate.
Cancellations and Disputes
Open the load from your Dashboard and cancel it. If no offer has been accepted, you can cancel at any time at no cost.
Cancellations after acceptance affect a live booking and are handled through the job page in My Jobs. Contact the carrier through Messages and LoadBid Support as soon as possible.
Carriers should only cancel a booked job in genuine circumstances and must communicate with the customer immediately through Messages. Repeated cancellations may affect a carrier's standing on LoadBid.
Try messaging again and check the load status in your My Jobs list. If there's still no response, contact LoadBid Support with the load details so we can help.
Delays happen — weather, traffic, breakdowns. Communicate through Messages, agree a new time, and note the update on the job page. If the delay is significant and you can't agree, contact Support.
Take photos immediately at delivery, note the damage in writing with the carrier, and open a dispute from the job page in My Jobs. The sooner damage is reported, the easier it is to resolve.
Use the dispute or report option on the job page in My Jobs, or contact LoadBid Support. Include photos, messages and any receipts that support your report.
LoadBid provides a dispute process to review reported issues and can pause a carrier payout while a dispute is being reviewed. LoadBid is not a court or an insurer — some outcomes may require the parties to resolve matters directly or through external channels.
Where a refund is due, it's processed through Stripe back to the original card. The specific outcome depends on the stage of the job and the circumstances of the cancellation. Contact Support for help with a specific booking.
Keep photos of the item before pickup and at delivery, any messages exchanged, receipts, and notes on times and conditions. This evidence significantly helps a dispute review.
Safety and Trust
Keep communication on-platform, only pay through LoadBid, review carrier profiles and verification status, and photograph your item before pickup and at delivery.
Check the carrier's verification status on their profile, read their reviews, and ask questions through Messages before you book. A carrier who won't answer clearly on-platform is a red flag.
No. Paying off-platform removes the protections and dispute process that come with an on-platform booking, and it's against our Terms of Service. If someone asks you to pay off-platform, report it via Support.
Use the report option on the load, offer or message, or contact LoadBid Support. Include as much detail as possible so we can investigate.
No. LoadBid is a marketplace and does not provide goods-in-transit or transport insurance. Any insurance in place is held by the carrier operating the job. Check what cover applies to your load before accepting an offer.
It's up to the customer to confirm what insurance a carrier holds, and up to the carrier to hold cover appropriate to the work they accept. Ask the carrier directly through Messages if this matters for your job.
Stop communicating with the account and report it immediately through LoadBid Support. If you've lost money or shared sensitive information, also report the incident to your bank and to Australian authorities (for example ScamWatch).
